So, with many organisations getting caught short. and admitting that they were litterally giving Terabytes of info away, I was just wondering why there has not been any form of announcement about this at fabswingers.com

This is the worst data loss and security risk since ...well, EVER.

All data including passwords, private messaging and even personal info has been stolen from hundreds of thousands of websites...

I think we need a bit of an announcement from the Admin team.

of all the sites I am a member of, this is the ONLY one that has not made any form of acknowledgement that heartbleed even exists.

It really makes me worry when a webmaster of a site such as doesn't make any reference to it at all.

Anyone else feeling a bit uneasy about that?

Ran checks

Site: www.fabswingers.com

Server software: Not reported

Was vulnerable: Possibly (might use OpenSSL, but we can't tell)

SSL Certificate: Possibly Unsafe (created 10 months ago at Jun 20 00:00:00 2013 GMT) Additional checks SSL certificate history checks yielded no new information

Assessment: It's not clear if it was vulnerable so wait for the company to say something publicly, if you used the same password on any other sites, update it now.

So yes an update would be good.

We don't run OpenSSL (which is the only software affected).

Admin, there is a security site that checks any site that you use and reports as above.

now I know we cant post links but maybe I could pass on the link to you and you can do a post. It would be helpful to many to find out if sites they are using are at risk and change passwords if so.

Then come back, and explain why, the fact I'm a bit pissed off that there hasn't been an announcement from adnin here, makes me picky!

Have you seen some of the data that's being posted on the net that has been stolen via heartbleed?

I've had an announcement from every website i am a member of.

Its not good enough, Admin should have jumped on this, given the amount of extremely sensitive data they hold on the servers.

We shouldn't have to have asked!

Admin should have announced the same time as every other site.

Had the response been affirmative in the respect of the issue, then I'd totally appreciate your angst. I'm on other sites and haven't received notification as to whether each site is safe or not.

EVERY bank, I've logged into ( i have 4 accounts), popped up a box. Reassuring is customers that no data has been stolen, and password changes are not necessary at this time.

That's just the banks.. I'd argue that the data held here is far more sensitive!

As an aside I havent received notification from any of my 3 banks, 3 credit card companies or any of the social network sites that have my details. In fact I havent received any notifications...

However, ask and ye shall receive....when you raised the concern Admin responded as requested. The issue with Heartbleed has been knocking around for a week or so - if you had asked a week ago Im sure Admin would have answered you then.

As you now have the answer from Admin that you wanted Im going to close this now.
