A suggestion for Admin

As this section is more geared for Admin rather than mods, and as more and more are writing posts about lack of admin feedback, should this thread only be responded to by admin, and closed by admin, rather than mods.

As for feedback issues, say for example reporting a picture, could admin not send out an auto response to say the reported item had been dealt with.

Also curious to know what action is taken when fake profiles or time wasters are reported, as it appears nothing is done, again feedback from admin would confirm or deny that. Other sites admin feedback, even if with automated responses, so no reason this site cant feed back too

O o O oo

You do know that whatever Mods do is because Admin tell them to ?

If they shut threads it is because Admin have instructed them to.

Admin have already answered they don't send feedback when a report is sent in. I will paste again what they say onto the next post.

Here is an explanation from Admin from another thread on how they deal with reports.

******Just a quick note. If people report others and we can verify that they have broken site rules, we always take action (either a first and final warning, partially suspended account, fully suspended, mixture of the above).

Every single report sent via the REPORT link is reviewed. Clearly it's not in our interests to have people on here who are bad for the site. Equally we need to verify what has been reported and be fair to those who have been reported.

Admin

PS. we never provide feedback on what has happened. It's just not practical given that we get 100s of reports a day.

Here is what the page says after a report has been submitted:

--

Your feedback has been saved.

A website admin will shortly review your feedback and take the necessary action. After reviewing the evidence available to us, we may disable an account, remove a user, disable certain aspects of that user's account or issue a warning.

By leaving feedback you help improve the site for everyone who uses it. Thank you.******

I'm fully aware of your above copy n paste, the point if this thread is that more and more people are writing threads complaining, maybe if admin themselves commented on this particular thread, due to fact that it's a site feedback thread, it may well reduce angst amongst people and may well reduce number emails they get a day

We're happy to confirm - all reports are dealt with as per Rugby's post above.

At the core of this is that we want people to make reports for intrinsic reasons (e.g. because someone has broken rules or needs reviewing), not for extrinsic ones (e.g. because they get feedback from us about leaving the report).

If you report a picture, it's really not hard to work out what acyion was subsequently taken...

It is when no action been taken, same as a time waster I recently reported, no action taken against them

And that's precisely my point, if admin themselves fed back via these threads it may well stop the number of extrinsic reports you get.

Though interestingly, I'm still waiting to hear what action is taken upon time wasters

Then the answer is obvious surely?

How do you know no action was taken? I assume you think their profile hasn't been immediately deleted on your say so, so nothing happened?

Was it a "your word against theirs" scenario? In which case what can the admins do? If the person has multiple reports against them fair enough, but a first offence perhaps?

I think expectations need to be lowered and people need excercise common sense when choosing people to meet rather than expecting the site to police their sex lives for them.

Re photos, they are still on profiles, yet supposedly against rules, I've reported fisting and water sports pictures.

Re timewaster, all in chat room knew a meet had been arranged as myself and other party discussed it openly, he failed to turn up and made no contact to say he wasn't turning up. Another mod can confirm this meet was arranged, and can confirm meet did not take place due to the guy not turning up, so no not one word against another, when several witnesses can be called

No not when picture is clearly breaking site rules

So on the basis of one no-show meet, you want him what, deleted?

Understand you being miffed but some perspective needed surely.
