Verified pictures man/woman.

When guys get verified as males, why don't you make them keep that picture public? The millions of fakes on here get verified as a man, then steal pics of better looking guys from the internet. If you made them keep them public, you would have a lot less fakes on here. Most other sties that verify people make them do this. It would result in a lot less reports from myself and other people about guys who are fake. I can't tell you how many times i've reported messages where men admit that the pic isn't them.

We've had our profile/pictures stolen and re-used several times, clearly it isn't us because we have this profile and wouldn't make a second couples profile but unless we searched every profile on fab we wouldn't know someone else was using them but the verification mark isn't important to someone looking to get there leg over that night

I did say man/woman in the title but i do think there's a lot more stolen pics on male profiles than female. Well, except the men who pretend to be women! If the site makes the user display his real verification picture then they can't claim other pics are theirs. As for the poster who has had pics stolen, mate i feel for you! I google image my own pics once a month and ALWAYS find fake profiles using my pics. The best advice i can give is to drop your own pics into google every so often. Then you can see everywhere your pic is being used and put an end to the fakery!

Because if it's a face picture then not everyone wants that on their profile for all and sundry to see! I would never ever have my face picture on my profile. I live in a very close knit and nosey community and this is my secret fantasy life. Last thing I'd want is anyone within a 50 mile radius to recognise me!

If they made this a site rule I think you'd find a lot of people, fake and genuine, leaving the site in droves. Me included!

Verification photos are 100% private, only Admin sees. You don't need to show your face or be identifiable: Full length nude photo is OK if not showing face.

I just read this^^^^

So you don't need to have a face pic to be verified.

A spiteful person could have a lot to say about it. Maybe not actually to you on here, but perhaps when you arrive at work and there's your fab profile and pics printed off and stuck to your office door?

Yeah that was kinda my depressing point. So they really don't have anything in place to deter fakes and rely on the members to bring them to their attention. Wow that sucks. But explains the number of fakes i find every single day.

Well i don't have anything on my profile that would concern me going public with it in my life. that's one of the things i think about when i set up a profile so that's not a concern for me. Maybe i'm just overly cautious but i've always had in my head that a profile might get out. anyway nearly veryone in my life knows i'm on these sites. They love to hear the message some of the guys send me on them. Gives them a laugh for the day!

Not everyone is in that situation though, I'm sure you can understand why the majority would not want their face pics on the site?

I work in education and it's bad enough people having been suspended due to parents creating an uproar about photos on Facebook from a night out (and not doing anything illegal I might add). Can just imagine the field day that would be had if a parent spotted photos of their child's teacher on a site like this.

You can't make the PV public as only Admin get to see them.

People can however post the pic themselves if they upload it in the normal way.

Never understood all the fuss over pic verification.

As has been pointed out - fake pics are easy to sneak past the mods - and the number of times google reverse and tin eye are quoted in forum threads must be in the hundreds!

Find a fake? Report it. Suspicious? Report it. Either way - the simplest thing to do is stop engaging with said person and if you want - block.

That way you free up plenty of time to engage with real people. And the site gives plenty of tools to do that - meet verifications, cams in chatrooms - and there's also this thing called the real world that lets you chat on the phone or Skype - or even meet face to face for a social coffee/chat or arrange a club rendezvous.

Even genuine photos can be old, cleverly angled or 'adjusted' using technology. Hard to fake a face to face encounter though - unless you're hiring a stunt double!

its ridiculous i keep my face pic private and only show to folk o get to know amd going to meet. surely by having face public that will not stop folk copying pics.

if in doubt of fakes just report block.and move on.

That's not what i was saying though. I was saying that if you make the verification picture with a face in it public, then the same person can't steal photos of someone else and try to pass them off as theirs. But it was just a suggestion. I'm a member of another site that makes people leave their verification pic public and it has plenty of members. But it's not a dating site, just a sex discussion website. I ALWAYS report fakes on here. In fact it's written on my profile. It would just seem that there are a massive amount of them here and it was merely a suggestion to cut down on the admins time in chasing all the fakes.

i know there are family members and others on here i do not wish to know about this part of my life and so on my view the o p is quite rodiculous to think this is a good catchj all move.

Anyone wishing to show face in public here have the right to do so and surely folk should have same right to keep from public gaze.

I understand what you were aiming at but unfortunately fakes will always find a way. I reported someone wiyh fake pics last week. He was verified by cam and a meet although both veris were hidden. Reported him and admin removed the pics within an hour. He's now deleted his profile. All you can do is tighten your filters and report them
