Why is it an issue leys say for example as happened other day on a topic i had some useful information for a poster on topic they posted and was not if allowed to give anpther website onfo its not sex related at all. So sent message to provide info.

The poster was grateful and happy i messaged so in my view keep it.

You wouldn't have pissed me off!

What I am getting at is, you reply to something in a thread... And the next thing you know your getting messages that could have easily been put as a comment on said thread ( does that make sense )

I think I know what you're saying,they're trying to engage personally with you in an off forum chat about it instead of just saying what they want on the thread? And you would rather they did'nt?

Then instead of posting a reply to the post via the thread, they PM me instead!

Making any sense now?

Looking at it though it wouldn't be a good idea!

So scrap the opt out thingy!

I'm 50/50 on this one. It would be good to avoid the annoying ones like you say where they could of just posted on the thread but then on occasion it's something useful x
