I'm pretty new around here, but having read a lot of posts there seems to be a problem with photo theft and them turning up on other profiles and other sites. Is this not made significantly easier by the fact that photos on here are only watermarked at the bottom? A simple crop and its gone! While I wouldn't want to spoil anyone's enjoyment of peoples pics, including my own

wouldn't it be better to watermark more centrally? I know this won't stop a Photoshop whizz, but it would stop or make it a lot more difficult for a thief to pass off someone else's pics as their own.

do it yourself..

remember dont upload anything onto the internet that you dont want shared around - watermarked or not.

There are lots of sites / apps that allow you to watermark your pics.. a quick google search will find them... and it's really not that technical

Do able on a phone for those that only have that type of device?

Yep... the pics I have that are watermarked were done on my phone

Try 'add watermark free' apparently you can do logos on that.. I've only ever used it for text though, so not sure how well it works for logos.
