A reminder for anyone wanting to show poppy pics, it's easy to get them approved they just need to pass photo rules (you also need to be in photo) so you wearing your poppy is great, you holding your poppy is great... anything with you and a poppy in should get approved

As always Fab will be showing the Poppy on our website and we'll be supporting the two charities we give to at this time of year on behalf of the site: Help for Heroes and Royal British Legion

I have posted separately about this. Why cannot I post a single poppy with no one in the picture?

I had a similar problem when I tried to post a pink ribbon on its own last year. I think it's not necessary to be in a picture to show respect for a well recognised valued and supported cause. Notice I have stuck to the rules for my poppy profile pic , given the choice I would have posted a poppy on its own .

I agree with both sides of this discussion (called fence sitting I suppose).

I totally respect Remembrance Day and everything the poppy stands for, as do I the pink ribbon appeal and others !

However if the site were too allow one thing, however charitable and respectful where does it end ?

Surely it is better to have one rule that is easy to enforce and not a sliding scale of what is considered reasonable by different photo mods.

There are conflicts over which pictures are 'too taboo' or 'to rude' it would be sad to have conflict over pictures that were 'too worthy' or 'too charitable'.

(ducks head below parapet, still sat firmly on fence)

The OP asks for people to stick to the pic rules....so if you take a pic with you and the poppy in and it will be approved

Surely today isn't about pictures of us but about the the poppy image itself and its significance. Surely rules can be bent ever so slightly on the 100th anniversary of the First World War?

I av just had my picture took of because I'm not on it

It's digesting moderators there shouldn't be any rules today on pics that aren't clearly disrespectful

Remembrance day isn't about indeviduals holding a poppy once a year it's about real people who gave up there life for one reason or another

So disappointed in fab for being so judgemental

It's really easy to get a photo with a poppy on, you just need to in it too. The original post in this thread explains how

I was going to upload a poppy pic so glad I didn't bother as it seems it would not have been approved. Why are so many being rejected this is the 100th anniversary . Surely there is no one on here that would object to them being shown. Very disappointed

Cos as the OP stated you need to be in the picture as a single poppy with out any one else in the pic is against the rules it's not rocket science really

To be fair, the British Legion say "There is no right or wrong way to wear a poppy. It is a matter of personal choice whether an individual chooses to wear a poppy and also how they choose to wear it. The best way to wear a poppy is to wear it with pride."
