Market Rasen

I live in Bradford and I usually have to put an ad in North East and also North West meets because I am classed as North West, Leeds is North East. People are more likely to come from The Leeds, West Yorkshire area to my place than Manchester. This should be changed. Any thoughts? Have fun wherever you are!!!!

Sheffield

Admin have been promising to look at the areas for a while now.

What with Sheffield being classed as the east midlands...

According to this site, East Midlands covers everything east of the M1 from North Essex to South Yorkshire.

It's high time they sorted this out. It's pretty elementary stuff.

West Yorkshire

I thought this had changed a bit? I think Huddersfield moved from being north east to North West, been a while since I checked it though.

It would be good if it was sorted out. We are on the borders of south east and east Midlands and searching meets by either area inevitably brings up people well over 100 miles away. And to complicate it further we are closer to some in the west midlands and everyone in greater london than we are those at the extreme ends of east Midlands and the south east.

Glasgow

The PA postcode goes all the way west to Mull, Colonsay and Tiree.

A long way from Paisley.

North Wales

Have the same problem with Wales. It would be good if it could be split between North Wales and South Wales.

Ditto.

A radius from postcode would be much better.

Defiantly an aspect that needs addressing.

Even on meets, groups, chat, profiles, search the areas are not good enough.

If you subscribe it's supposed to be better, but I didn't find it any different apart from when you search whose near.

Bradford

We couldn't agree more!

We're right in the edge of Leeds/Bradford and 10-15 mins from the West Yorks towns of Halifax n Hudds. We're also 35 mins from Sheffield. When we post meets we have to do likewise, just to cover West Yorks, and it's a little silly, we've been accused of time wasters more than once because folk I'm Carlisle are seeing our meet then realising it's over 2 hrs away and wondering as to why we're advertising there! Fair point!

Bradford, Huddersfield and Halifax are all in West Yorks, all within 15 mins drive, so why are they classed as west of the Pennines?

And also in agreement with folk in Sheffield which had never been regarded as the East Midlands by anyone!! It is Yorkshire, Yorkshire is north and North-east, it is Mao the largest county in England covering two very large urban areas so perhaps Yorkshire should be its own seperate geographical area for Fab areas?
