make verification a requirement?

Fab swingers is a fantastic site that is free to all.

Those that choose to can become a supporter and pay for some advanced features.

But the growing number of fake profiles. Pic collectors. Guys pretending to be couples or single fems is becomming more and more tedious.

I can see no reason why honest genuine members would not be verified. Photo verification is simple free and completely secure and descrete.

I would suggest a period of a couple of weeks full access before being required to verify by pic if not already verified by members

I was stalked by a guy that photo verified. He just used three very different photos of him, one old with hair, one newer, balder lol in a suit, one scruffier in a t shirt pose. All three looked way different.

Id be happy to see different levels on the site, though I dont know how it would work. On other sites I know even timewasters pay memberships.

I rarely chat to those who havent met others now, not foolproof, but I was a fool once, that was enough.

I though about doing it but there's fun to be had with the fakes so never bothered

Well I do have people send me footballers pics. And yet they are verified. Maybe they just look like the players?

I am verified but I've never had a meet apart from the odd dogging meet or social but I've never had a verification from those although I have had veri's for cam chats - I agree with those who aren't verified should be chucked off but as a single male do I enjoy my chats/messages with unverified ladies who may or may not be real I guess I do....

Not sure what the answer is really...

I know you can block unverified people to the site but this will disuade the good as well as the bad.

We have had some good meets with prevously unverified members.

As original post I see no reason not to require everybody after a short period to become photo verified i.e.send the photo with user name on a piece of paper held in one hand...

This gives new members a week or two to get a feel for the site before having to verify.

Fab could do a Traffic Light system

re Red Amber and Green. as when some one messages a person and get no reply and it happens with x10 people or more ie no reply they get a amber colour...at least it will show who is genuine a bit more, or also could flag up warnings where others have found the same pics of people on here as some one else in a different part of the country etc?

When people havent got pictures after 2 weeks on here that normally tells its own story too re fakes/wasters

I would never verify someone or ask to be verified, who I meet is private and I offer 100% discretion, I normally meet married men, politicians, royalty and the upper classes,

I would rather leave verification to the slappers and people with much lower standards than my own.

Doesn't suit everyone, but we generally only meet others we have met in person at a club, party or social.

Also we only contact couples who have pics of them both on their profile and preferably together in the pics too, as it's easy to do with mirrors!

If that means we miss out on others who claim they are genuine, so be it, but it works for us!

yes could fake the picture but software can easily spot photos that have been tampered with by all but the very best forgers.

in addition this could raise questions about a user that then appears to be too young, i have spoken with a few people and seen comments in chat that would seem to be very immature possibly young teenagers.

is she going to hold a piece of paper up with your user name on it for the pic???

and if someone contacts you off here and you commit a crime when the police contact fab and they come looking for her because its her pic will she then shop you ??

I don't want to be forced into taking a photo of myself holding a piece of paper with the name of a swinging site

on it and then send the pic across the internet.

This site works perfectly well for me without doing that.

how do i qualify the statement

the site over time becomes more and more known both to swingers and fakes, and we are getting more and more aproaches from obviously fake people. i dont keep a log its just happening....

the only people that would have anything against being able to be identified have reason not to want to be...... THATS MY POINT..... The innocent have nothing to hide..... its fallen seemingly on deaf ears and im going to leave it there.

My main objection to the compulsory verification argument is that those in favour inevitably think that it will provide an instant fix to the fakes and timewasters that they believe plague the site. The reality is it won'tand they still won't address their failings and shortcomings and question what they could do differently.

I've said it many times before their is a very obvious answer why some people have such a problem with "fakes and timewasters".

Why are people so hung up regarding rules i think its becausr people like the idea of being members of an exclusive club where they can become members but its difficult for others to join.

Its a swinger site on the internet people will find a way to get around. Any obstacles. I bet theres even undrrage kids on here using pics of older family members to gsin access. Be resl its not difficult... Hotmsil account fake birthday and a random pic =access.

Common sense, gut instinct and absolutely zero expectancy!

*I find tineye/google reverse image search come in handy too!

The site provides tools and invites feedback/suggestions to improve it, its not about expectancy or wanting the site to do everything, its about been on the site a while, seeing how it works and suggesting little things that may help to make it easier, if people arent allowed to give feedback and just have to shut up and get on with it then why have a feedback section.

I have said before; but I will not get photo verified; why should I prove I am real by a picture.

I have a number of verifications from other uses, who are also verified so why is a photograph better than those ?

You will never, ever get a face pic from us on this or any other related sites. Why? If you think sending any pic anywhere over the internet is secure you are only fooling yourelf and secondly when pics from our private gallery started appearing on facebook along with others fabs people you no longer take the risk (fab did finally get them removed from facebook). It does annoy me when people come along who are happy to splash their identy everywhere and then expect others to do the same. We have had 17yrs of 'discreet' swinging and long may it continue. If people don't trust a profile without a pic verification that's absoloutly fine by us, pass us by, were doing very nicely as it is

Why? We're not photo verified and have no intention of becoming photo verified - to me, photo verification means about as much as the phone veri system - and even cam veris - not a lot!

We didn't meet anyone from here until almost 6 months of being on here - under your rules we'd have been booted off...
