"Hmmmm why can you not leave a veri for a person you have genuinely met irrespective if they are outside youre age range ,club operators are being hindered as are perhaps others seems rather prejudiced, my member does not want to alter her age range but should be able to view /accept my veri" Filters will stop validations, regardless if they have you as friends etc We have had this problem many times in the past. We have outstanding verifications from those outside our filter ranges like a club also. Only way to get round it, is to remove filters so that verifications can come thru to be accepted. Admin know of the issue, so cant understand why it's not been sorted yet.

"Just ask them to mail you first or add you as a friend You can them verify them If we allowed verifications regardless of filters, idiots would use verification system to message people they couldn't PM. Admin x" Sorry this info is incorrect. We had to ask one of our friends 4 times to verify us and we had filters on, and no verifications came thru until we took them all off. Filters WILL and DO block verifications regardless of friends or previously winked/messaged status.

I can and have verified them without a problem!! Sorry to raise this again but something seems not quite right here!

Seems we're not the only one to have the issue. Since we know how to overcome it we're not so arsed, but can see how difficult and annoying it can be for others - such as the OP's customer/friend and the above post before your one.. Not being difficult, but if it's affecting so many, there is obviously an issue.

"I can accept that our seetings will affect the verification outcome but when we send a veri to another site member we get an on-screen message saying "verification saved" or something similer, would it not be possible to receive a "verification failed" message if for what ever reason the veri was not going through to the intended person, so we can workout which of us needs to alter our settings etc? Sorry Admin, don't mean to nag, you do a fantastic job xx" If we made it too easy, it would help idiots who try to verify fake accounts of their own. We log every failed verification and the reasons for it and they are a tiny %age of the total number. We believe this tiny percentage is worthwhile for keeping the verification system honest. "They we're already friends in the first place.. *bangs head against the wall* " If they are already a friend, removing filters doesn't change anything but it might not have seemed this way to you Admin x

Perhaps a bug? | |||

It's OK, we've had this run in with admin about verifications before, nothing new..lol Our verification issue was with our previous profile (under the same name) with friends of our whom we know from another site and meeting at various clubs - we had never shared an ISP let alone a pc or internet connection. But our friends are outside our age range filters. we had chatted in pm, and were already on our friends list, but it took them 4/5 attempts to send a verification thru. We were on another sites chat function talking about it. We had to remove all filters to be able accept it. Make of it what you will.

"I do not get this, I hear it a lot. I've met and verified people outside my age range, filters in place. And I know it has worked as they are displaying the veri. They have also then verified me. " This is because if you have messaged them before or you have them as a friend, you can verify them. The same check is done as if you PM them. If you can PM them, the verification will move onto other checks on shared IPs etc and if that is OK the verification will be saved Admin x
