Sent messages disappearing

Has anyone else had messages in their sent folder (unread by recipient), seem to disappear from the thread after a while?

I remember seeing the message in my sent folder in yellow (unread) so it was definitely sent by me, however when the recipient has responded a couple of weeks later the sent message has simply disappeared. Is it possible for the recipient to delete one message? As I thought they would have had to delete the entire thread. Thanks.

If anyone deletes things it only deletes from their side not yours.

If they delete their profile though all messages dissappear.

Thanks for replying but it’s only the most recent message from our account that seems to be disappearing. Prior to that it was unread in their inbox for at least a few days.

I also had this...

The recipient hadn't been on line for a few weeks.

It was there for quite a while and then it just disappeared so by the time he came back onlinevit wasn't there

But, as you say, just that last, unread message
