So it seems this site has had a data breach in the last few days.

I was only made aware last night and had a warning message pop up from my Chrome browser password locker.

I strongly recommend that you all update your passwords and check your account information to keep your account secure.

Be safe

OP - do you mean that your browser had an intrusion, rather than the Fab site? Obviously.

, personal devices are easier for potential attacks, rather than a substantial website.

Not my browser. Warning was the site had been flagged for leaked emails and passwords from wherever Google collect and get their data from.

Only times I've had the warning pop up before is from sites that have indeed been hacked/breached.

Hence the heads up for others

Are you sure it was this site and not the details you use being compromised elsewhere? I know Apple will tell you if a combo of email and password u use for one site has been compromised on another, sending a similar message

A Chrome "password was used" or "compromised password" warning does not mean that this website has suffered a data breach.

Chrome compares saved login details against credentials that have appeared in known data leaks from across the internet. The warning commonly appears because the same email address, username or password has previously been used on another website that was compromised. It cannot, by itself, identify which service the leaked credentials originally came from.

We have no evidence of any breach of our service.

Passwords are not stored by us in readable plain text. They are stored using salted password hashes, meaning that they cannot be viewed or retrieved. Although no security system should ever be described as literally impossible to compromise, this substantially protects passwords even in the event that stored account data were unlawfully accessed.

Anyone receiving the Chrome warning should change the affected password and avoid reusing the same password across different websites. A unique password for every service, ideally managed through a reputable password manager, prevents a breach elsewhere from being used to access unrelated accounts.
