Will the site ever add more options for sexuality? It's still only offering straight, bi, bi curious or gay.

It's 2026 and people identify as numerous other things besides these. It's a simply thing to add so why not give people more options to represent the community and the times we live in?

What other options are there? Anyone’s sexual orientation will fall into one of the categories already in the site.

Read the forum for a while, and you'll find that many people think that adding "bi-currious" was a mistake, in retrospect.

None of them represent my own sexuality. There are variations on those that exist which more accurately describe sexuality.

It's more nuanced than the options offered in my view.

You either sleep with men (gay) women (straight) or both (bi), the site only have males and females so gay straight or bi fits all them.

I don't agree. Sexuality is way more nuanced than that, especially in 2026.

But 99% of the people on here are wanting to play with men, women or both.

And all of those options are there.

You're missing my point. Sexuality isn't that black & white.

That's not the point, neither does it address the site issue. I haven't come on here to justify my sexuality to anyone (I had enough of that privately on here yesterday). The point is just that the options are very limited on here and in suggesting broadening them out.

I know it'll never happen. I've been suggesting things like this on here for about 15 years and nothing ever changes.

Agree, for instance in the pure black and white concepts then I would be bi, however that infers that I'd have sex with men as men - very very unlikely. Men dressed as women and giving off a feminine vibe however yes and I have.

Personally I prefer the term hetero flexible

I get what you’re saying, definitely.

I’d love for things like pansexual, aromantic, graysexual, polysexual, monosexual, etc to be reflected.

I think it’s weak for folks to go, ‘You’re either attracted to men, women, or both’ when there’s an abundance of other words that allow us to be more articulate for the sex drives we have.

Why not use them?

Also, vaguely related, the ability to highlight on a profile that you’re non-binary, genderfluid, genderqueer, etc would be brilliant, too. It’d feasibly save a bunch of awkward conversations to just be able to say it up front on a profile, I’d assume.

Exactly this - Fab is so hetero-normative and doesn't reflect the world we live in or the community we're all part of.

It's so restrictive and people's attitudes are so narrow minded. I'm getting streams of messages from people TELLING ME what my sexuality is!!

The choices offered probably suit the majority of people who use the site. You could always use your profile to be more specific

If they did add more categories, do you think that would actually make people happier?

In reality what would happen is that we'd get flame wars about people using the "wrong" term to describe themselves. And the admins would still get criticised for still not having enough terms.

They could just allow you to choose whatever term you want, but it would become pretty useless for searching on. And we already have a free choice field that you can't search on - it's your profile text.

Personally I'd probably support a change to "Straight/Bi/Gay/It's Complicated" but that's as far as I'd go.

I think sexuality is the least of the ‘labels’ that are given, I feel for the trans community that are linked in with the cd and tv community and likewise the opposite,

I have had far too many offensive messages telling me I’m a cross dresser beciase I like wearing high heels, despite the fact I’m literally a guy in heels, should I be linked with the ladies who were born as a gender they never felt was truly them?

I get what you’re saying OP and to some extent agree, however in this type of site there will always be limits to the categories that can be offered

70% of the members wouldn't know what those labels are... all they see is penis, boobs and vagina...

Agree. Hetero-flexible works for me. There’s also a big difference between ‘full’ bisexuality that includes being generally attracted to the same sex romantically, and bisexual in the sense or pure sexual interaction in the right circumstances.

If it matters to people, and who am I to judge LALL, then maybe a free form searchable box on a profile to be completed as the profilee sees fit. That seems more practical than trying to give a selection that covers everyone’s requirements however nuanced. Even I remember when bi curious was cutting edge 👏

That or include a

More detailed description in the existing body of your profile. May require reading the profile to find out but that’s probably not a bad thing.

Only my three Penneth worth, or even less.
