Not sure if this is feasible or even if there is enough demand or a need for it but based on some of the comments on the REPEAT THREADS thread on the Swingers Chat forum maybe it's something worth considering.

The new forum could contain a list of "sticky" threads on all the usual subjects.

Regular forumites could be invited to offer constructive advice to new members and Admin/Mods could cull the less helpful posts and keep each thread on message.

Subjects could be added/deleted as appropriate and again Admin/Mods could monitor the forum to ensure it remains relevant.

On joining the site new members could be shown where the forum is, advised about it's contents and encouraged to have a look through it.

I am not for one moment suggesting we restrict the subject matter of new threads in any of the current forums all I am suggesting is that we better equip new members as to the workings of the forums.

Perhaps all forums, except the "NEWBIES READ THIS!!!!!", could be hidden from new members for 24-48 hours.
