How does it work?

Had a few friends and some we're talking to say "noticed you were online"

When bluntly we weren't, open browser page on either of our phones maybe, but unsure how it's registered and in honesty why it's a benefit to any member other than those stalking..

There can be a lag, between when you've last used the site and when it shows you were last online. It's not millisecond accuracy,in what it displays
