FabSwingers.com forum: chatrooms ???

I have been in these so called chat rooms and each time been ignored. These rooms are nothing to do with swinging, some just use them as pick up points for sex. This is not what swinging is about.

As far as I am aware its a way for people to chat and get to know each other before arranging a meet etc. Not everyone wants to give out their msn which is understandable.

It works for some ppl and not for others. Each to their own I say

The 'so called chatrooms' are what you make of them. Join in the conversation and, granted it may take a little while, but you will get a response, however flaming the chatrooms as you have done in this thread, is a sure fire way to get the kind of response that you wouldn't want.

As for the rooms "having nothing to do with swinging" I wonder how you have reached that conclusion, after all, one of the rooms is called "General Chat" which to me suggests that you can talk about general things. I don't recall ever seeing that the chat must be restricted to swinging

However we will personally keep an eye open for you if we see you in chat and will say hello ...

The chat rooms are what you make of them.

Personally we don't arrange meets in chat,but a lot of people get to see who they may like to meet.

I ( mrs) do like to chat with like minded adults. It doesn't have to be about swinging or sex ( and it not always is) but it can be fun.

The key to going into a new chat room is to not be a wallflower. No one will notice you until you chat,so it isn't worth saying nothing then complaining that no one will speak to you.

Be prepared to be ignored /overlooked a few times...... join in/ butt in to other peoples conversations....above all don't whinge that no one is talking to you while you are in there.

Try it a few times before you write it off, you get to know a few people and could end up with a great meet out of it if it is what you are looking for.

yes at first it can be difficult to use the chatrooms as at times they are really fast and lots of people are having conversations between themselves....a lot have met and have built up friendships within various chatrooms. We found it difficult at first also.

Just stick your nose in and get involved, have a laugh....they can be very funny at times.

As for the content of conversation within chat.......its generally lots of convos going on at once, some banter thrown in. They are as the other posters said what you make of them. Some will like them, some wont.

I chat in the rooms a lot I think they are a great way to get to know ppl and the rooms have some really great social (not swinging) nights, and I for one think its great at least you get to see if there is an attraction between ya cos it embarrassing when you meet on a one to one and one or either dont fancy the other lol.
