It would be nice to have the option to remove the "reply privately" button from forum posts.

I know many post to put their profile out there, hoping for some private chat....but when I join in to share I've had porridge with a cherry compote for breakfast, im not inviting offers of a sausage supper for lunch.

Just saying....

Wouldn't they just offer the sausage supper through a normal mail instead?

I have never thought of having cherry compote with my porridge, I might try that.

The porridge is very thinck and creamy and quite sweet...so something sharp goes very well with it.

I was going to say something similar: as Rugby alludes the "Reply privately" function is no different to sending a message in the regular way via someone's profile. Filters and restrictions would still apply, where applicable.

I prefer the in-situ "Reply privately" function because it serves as a method for 'solicited' messages when participating in forum games and challenges and, crucially, when an event organiser requests a direct message if you wish your name to be added to a social etc. This way the message is prefixed with the named of the thread as a subject heading.

As far as porridge goes I find fresh raspberries and a generous drizzle of maple syrup works wonderfully. The syrup counteracts the tartness of the raspberries. Fig compote or peach compote is also a delicious recommendation.

Ahh youre all wrong stewed rhubarb with some pouring honey if you really must spoil good porridge

Plain porridge with a ring of cold milk and a small spoon of sugar sprinkled (forget the salt)
