Chrome has just informed me that the password I used has been published on line and suggested I reset it

Should I scan for virus on iphone or has Fab been compromised?

It is probably part of a dictionary used for a brute force attack.

They pre hash a huge list of words and permutations and use that list in their shenanigans.

I'm guessing your password wasn't very complicated? Pets name123 or similar?

How did chrome inform you of this? Are you talking about your Fab password or another one?

You can scan for malware on your device and change your password. And some passwords can be created and managed by your system, with very random characters.

Have I Been Pwned? lets you check if email, usernames and passwords are known and published.

Be careful as loads of scammers go through your emails and rather than going to the spam folder slip through

Best way is open the top part carefully to see the sender. The clue is in the details

Change it anyway, it’s always advisable to change passwords as frequently as is practicable for you.

Remember, don’t duplicate passwords over different sites.
