Delete Message Threads

I think I've seen a forum post asking this before but can't find it so I'll post a new one.

Why do message threads stay active on the person you've been chatting to profile even when you've deleted them from your message section? Is there a way of deleting them permanently?

If you mean the couple of lines that you see when you view their profile i don't think you can. But only you see that, nobody else.

It's a useful reminder in my mind that you've messaged them before. If they haven't replied it's a useful pointer to maybe not try again. 🤷‍♂️

Since they got rid of the message headings you can't delete them, you can delete them from your message screen but as soon as you go to message the person again the whole thread comes back.

Personally I prefer it this way.
