"Your definition of a time waster is obviously someone who doesn't turn up. Someone cancelling in advance has avoided wasting your time by cancelling in advance. Some people believe that conversations that fizzle out or don't reach a satisfactory conclusion are also a form of time wasting so how would that be policed? You say it's one of the biggest problems on here and yet every single time someone says something similar, lots of fabbers jump on to say they've never experienced any of these issues. I'm one of those people. In 9 years on the site, I've never once chatted to a fake profile, been catfished or had a no show and neither have many others. Introducing a rating system for meets would be wide open to abuse. As someone already said it would be all too easy to make a false claim. Even if it was mandatory it still wouldn't be trustworthy. If you are finding that you are experiencing regular no-shows then it may be time to review your own vetting system because it's not working. If it is as rife as you suggest the law of averages would say I should have experienced it at least once in 9 years but I haven't and I don't put that down to luck. " Agree with what you say but seems amazing you never had a no show. There are definitely many fakes for sure and especially guys wanting wife to play. I expect wives have no idea husband discussing them being used. It’s not right unless they know and truly willing

I mean actually speaking - on the phone or via a quick video chat? An easy solution and one that would determine instantly if the woman didn't know or even exist. And there's already the option to report someone who doesn't turn up to an arranged meet. Always has been.

I had my first meet 6 weeks after joining in 2016 and I've had 4 different profiles in that time. I've met more than 60 people across those 4 profiles and about half those have been at group socials. Every single person I've arranged to meet one to one has turned up on time and been exactly as they proclaimed to be. I find it amazing that there are so many people with similar experiences to mine and at the same time so many who are constantly having issues with no shows. I'm nothing special. It really is as simple as chatting to someone, agreeing to meet socially and turning up. It never fails.

I have a lot of fun myself but have had no shows and fakes. Great you have had otherwise. I genuinely hope it continues that way for you

"This is part of the reason we only meet at clubs. If the person we have made plans to meet then it’s no hardship for us. We get to enjoy our night and play together or meet someone else. People are busy, life gets in the way, nerves take over and some people just like the chase and instant gratification from messaging people. None of it is wrong in our eyes. " *if the person we had plans to meet doesn’t turn up *
