Suggestions for updates

We've been members of Fab since 2008 and 2010, we can agree there has been some improvements over the decades but we have some suggestions we'd love to see implemented to Fab.

1. Photo Verification,

Remove the ability to upload a photo verification that may have been edited or created/ taken from elsewhere.

The initial concept of photo verification would still work, but the photo should be taken using the camera option currently available on fab at the time of Verification.

2. Re-verification system.

The green flag is great but over the decades some well verified accounts become void eg "last verified 5 yesrs ago". Having the ability to resubmit a photo verification using the new system above, would let other users know that the profile is still genuine. The green flag should also come with some form of time stamp, and be available to use annually if the user wished to do so.

3. Unverified profiles,

Should have limited access to the site. There is far too many blank profiles with site supporter badges able to upload images that may not be theirs to share. We would suggest limited messaging and removing the ability to upload photos until site verified as above. This way they can still browse the site but can't upload random photos.

4. Profiles for clubs and hosts.

Even if the current Fab profiles are url linked to the club reviews section. A similar format for hosts would be useful too. Making clubs and hosts easier to find and communicate with for other users. It would be nice if clubs could display their venues here too.

5. Meets/ events search,

Still operating on a county basis, this would be easily improved if it worked off of current location or post code radius. Currently we can search "Wales" for meets and events, but we will find events in North Wales that are too far. If we search South West, we could find an event at lands end. It would be great if we could set a search radius like the user search for meets and events.

Just a few suggestions we hope are within scope of what Fab can achieve in 2025 ❤️

Suggestions are always good and you're in the right place to make them. Here's some of my own (not the site's) thoughts on your ideas.

Re points 1 & 2 - photo verification is there to confirm gender. You can either upload a face photo or a full body nude. Your point about using the camera would prevent edited images for sure. But given the purpose of photo verification it's nor something that would ever become void. The majority are unlikely to change gender.

Point 3 - photo verification wouldn't prevent people trying to upload photos that aren't their own, and you dont need to be a site supporterto add images. It would be easy to get verified and then simply add photos later, given (as previously mentioned) you don't need to show your face and body at the same time. The photo mods do a pretty good job of managing photos uploaded given the volume, but some will always slip through the net and it's easy for site users to report profiles and images if concerned that something isn't what it seems.

Point 4 - most clubs have their own profile on here and are usually eady to find, but hosts come and go and some people may only host one night evey few months. It would be tricky to manage i suspect, but many hosts start forum threads in the club events section so again, they're usually pretty easy to find and contact.

Point 5 - yep, I agree a distance filter would be useful both for club and private meets. 👌👌

The issue comes with Ai and photoshop being easier to use the potential to falsify a photo is way easier than when fab introduced the verification system.

Moving away from uploading pre taken photos would remove the option to upload doctored photos.

Absolutely understand that the photo verification is there to prove gender, for us it's that tick in the box from Fab admin the profile is who we're talking to.

If it was introduced as annual reassurance check, it could make users feel more comfortable. Messaging each other.
