Often i am in discussion with someone for a meet and out of nowhere they dissapear offline and the majority of the time its them being a timewaster, but there are some where it was genuine, they had to sign out of the site for fear of discovery etc. So in the mail window for sending messages, might there be a small button with a predefined message like " i gotta go offline right now but will be back with you within an hour" or two hours etc, that way people are not left hanging thinking this is a dead discussion.

Can they not just message saying go to go offline will be back later intead of pressing a button to say that?

some people do that, but others its such an emergency that one button would make the difference, wife walks in or something else lol

You could take a leaf out of the kids book. My kids just type AFK. Away from keyboard. There is a code 9 which means parents around which I hope they don’t use. Or, alternatively avoid cheating married men.

If its an emergency then surely taking the time to get onto a page where the back later button is would still mean they are online and someone can see the page.. if someone has to close thebpage down quick then they will do just that.. close the page
