Hey up peeps

How do you make suggestions to them that run this site?

My suggestion is to remove the delete from messages as don't makes the slightest bit of difference deleting them or not, just have buttons for mark as unread and block,

People tend to delete or ignore if not intrest in the person, yet if people had the slightest thinking capability that unfortunately most lack nowadays.

Having only block instead of delete they would vastly improved and streamline the workings of the site and save not only thire time but everyone's else's by blocking them they have no intrest in.

People would end up with a more streamlined search list of them thats more potentially the types each are looking for and not see the ones with no intrest like we do repeatable currently because they conveniently have a habit off deleting because it's there.

What's your thoughts on it, would removing delete encourage the uninterested to block and reduce both our lists of unnecessary people on our searches?

Give me your thoughts please, cheers

No thanks.

I delete messages for several reasons not only if they don't match what I'm looking for.

I might delete because their initial message was boring but by deleting and not blocking it gives them a chance to try again.

Or

I might not find them attractive but then later on they discover the joys of the forums and we become friendly so begin chatting by private message.

Or

At that moment in time they're not what I'm looking for but maybe tomorrow they'll be exactly what I'm looking for.

Who knows, but I like to keep my options open.

I only use block for abusive or overly persistent people

I don't wish to block everyone who messages me and I'm not compatible with so the delete button is a much simpler solution.

It's also handy when sending messages because some people obsess over whether their messages are being read or not. It is always advisable to delete any messages as soon as you send them so you don't have to fret over them being opened or not.

Therefore I don't believe removing that option would streamline anything at all.

Delete option is perfectly fine where it is, thanks.

I use it quite often.

OP, you may be able to make suggestions to improve the site via the fabswingers.com site feedback thread.

As far as your proposed improvement goes, I wouldn't be in support of it as others have mentioned above.

Per user if you've sent a message and it doesn't lead anywhere it's entirely up to them to decide whether to delete or go further and blocking so they can create there own platform of possibilities..... It works

I prefer to have the option of block or delete. I don't want to block everyone who sends me a hi or a how are you message (which I state in my profile I won't reply to) they might do better next time.
