It puts the forum post title in the message if you message someone from the forum.

People can click 'reply privately' to any forum comment and it will have the forum thread title showing.

I'd add that the first line of the message is visible without opening it so you can get an idea what its about

It will be the first line of the actual message as there is no title header to the mail anymore

If someone has clicked reply privately from a forum post is will add the forum title at the start of the message for the recipient.

Any other direct message have no title or heading.
