Age preference.

Costa Blanca Spain...

We have an minimum age preference of 40 and the block is set for anyone below. I've just double checked and it is still on.

Anyway we've just had a message from someone a lot younger.

How did that get through?

That thought crossed my mind as well but not that I can remember. Besides the under 40 block has been active for well over a year.

I suppose it could be possible from way back in the dim and distant.

i guess if its just the odd one in over a year then the filter is mostly working. you can always block him individualy if there is any doubt

Just tested it by clicking 'reply privately' to your comment.

"Sorry, you can't send private mail to this user

Why? You're outside the age range this user has chosen to receive contacts from"

The filters do work and do give a warning message.

I think Glasgowminx meant that you still can't mail anyone who has filters on as was implied on the post she quoted

If someone has no filters on and you try and send a mail outside of their age range or you have mailed them before and not got an answer then a big message comes up which is probably what Bucks is talking about
