Am I being thick ?

When you post a meet it asks for the first two letters of your post code yet you can't search in this manner

Annoyingly we straddle borders and meets from both areas can be bloody miles away !

Surely post code searches should be straightforward ??

Help anyone x

Use the advance search!

http://www.fabswingers.com/browse/advanced_geo

Choose the postcode and then select to search from so many miles.

No idea why admin dont make it the default search page!?!

You can also find the advance search page by looking at the yellow band at the top of the current "RUBBISH" default search page..

Look for this..

"We recommend the new improved search page for more options and better location search"

Newbury / London

Same here, a postcode radius on 'meet / events' would be most welcome.

We think there is some confusion on the previous posts though, that would be for normal searching (unless we've missed this)? We beleive the OP referred to actual meets posted in the 'meets' section where you can only search by generic region currently.

That's correct,

I believe it picks up those on the meet list rather than actual meets.

A radius is a great idea, that's the best way of searching - shouldn't be that difficult as the info is already on here.

there's a lot of info on our profiles that could be used to refine the searches even better. Not only the post codes and radius which are great ideas but also the persons size, smoking habits etc. This could make searching for those similar persons a lot easier.

I use the advanced browse search and tick the box looking to meet today.

this uses your standard search area.

Like a lot of couples, Our playtime is limited, so we want to be able to search for a meet within a radius for the next fortnight. A search for meet today is no good for us, We do't tend to meet at the drop of a hat.

Post code areas would be more helpful tbh.

If you are on border lines with a number of other areas you have to put up 2,3,4 meet requests just for 1 night! If you're doing it for the weekend that could be like 9 requests you submit. (can you do that many?)

If it could be worked by "miles from" then you only need 1 meet request to put up.

So better for those searching and for those adding a meet for it to be based on post code location.

Or possibly as an alternative, would it be possible to select more than one area when searching in the meets section? I'm on the border of West Midlands, East Midlands and North West and have to do 3 separate searches.
