Why isn't it mandatory?

Seems like a very easy way to cut down on the vast number of fake profiles that plague Fab and help make this site so frustrating.

Not saying it would solve everything, but it seems like a simple quick win.

You could make the site work for you by filtering non verified members out in searches or not interacting with profiles without the green flag or tick.

Also you can set mail filters to stop unverified members from contacting you.

Admin have previously said they won't make photo verification mandatory.

These types can easily photo verify.

I could make 10 different profiles and timewaste on 9 of them. Bit of a quandary don't you think.

Meet verification is more accurate. And so easy to spot who to be wary of.

Or you could try common sense. That's the best tool you have!

Absolutely agree. The reason most people typically get caught out is they aren't thinking straight, being too desperate and as you say, not using common sense.

I've used dating and casual online services for around 15-20 years now (on and off) and never once been caught out. Fakes don't put in any substantial or realistic effort whatsoever and they're incredibly easy to spot.

You say that, I've been on here on and off for around three years now, always been photo verified, as it won't let me do anything on the site without for some reason. Never ask for or give meet verifications and I'm very often accused of being a fake profile, usually by people who have meet veries but no photo verification. But not exclusively so.

Verification is over rated!

We only meet at clubs. We never pre arrange meets. If we meet someone at a club we know they are real!

Let's say you verify a couple a few months later they split up but one person keeps the profile active. You then end up having to re-verify all accounts year in year out; an administrative headache.

We are not verified therefore we are 'fake'
