It would be useful to have this. Sure it could be easily implemented and make hot topics easier to instantly find.

Most forums have always had this function.

Click on "newest in thread" and it will take you to the last post. The last thread posted on each section will be at the top of the section

Aware of those functions, thanks. But as I suggested, an overall 'latest posts' button which list all the latest posts at ease, like most forums have, would be a good addition.

I appreciate we may not visit the same forums but the ones I read work the same as this, each section has latest posts at the top.

Your suggestion is in the right place though

It's a very common additional function that most forums utilise. It requires no change to the layout as used on here, it's simply an extra handy link on the front page.
