The way the threads system is laid out with the 4 minute rule on deleting a thread then it's there forever seems almost NSA level intense.

Sometimes I wish I could edit comments, especially given the joy of autocarrot and occasional typos.

But it's as easy to delete if I spot one and repost.

I like the fact that people can't delete comments as no doubt many would do so to remove any opinions they expressed that weren't received the way they hoped. The fact comments can't be removed (as well as the magic green arrow) is great for those that like to use the forums as an insight into someone's personality.

I'm sure some would of course prefer evidence of their views and comments made to vanish into oblivion.
