Can we please have the option to control this ourselves, so turn it on or off.

It would be nice to be able to post on the forum without the private replies that weren't requested. I'm aware i can turn my filters on, but should I have to turn my inbox off everytime I want to use the forum?

I cringe at some of the creepy messages I get from forum posts and it puts me off commenting on some posts.
