In essence, this is the likely reason you wouldn’t want that. It becomes less about the site connecting people, and more about the site being about social status.

I think I’d prefer the site to stay about trying to help forge connections as opposed to winning a popularity contest that idiots will like and fab anything you ask if they think they stand a chance at shagging someone.
