How do I delete messages so they don’t show up if I chat to some one at a later date

Threads don’t seem to permanently delete they stay on profile

I quite like the fact that if you chat later the old conversation comes back up to be honest.

Just seems if u don’t want to chat to some one any more they still have all your messages

Use to be able to completely delete messages

The new set up means you can't you can delete it from your message list but the thread still exists and reopens when a new message is sent.

Yes. I’ve found a couple of times that I have exchanged winks and chatted but didn’t meet but I can’t remember why. This helps with my lapses of memory. I text someone today to ask if they could remember why we didn’t meet.
