Just a thought. If you could comment on photos, similar to other social media platforms. Could make it a site support only feature.

Whats everyones take on it?

I think the fact we can fab them is sufficient. Comments are likely to be graphic or insulting and I don’t believe that’s necessary.

I wish we had the ability to fab posts ie thumbs up or down, laugh emojis etc

Oh I don’t know, I don’t think I’d tire of hearing that

Whilst many would be positive comments, unfortunately i do feel it would be abused by some idiots on here

I'm not a fan of the idea myself.

It's bad enough with the 'Fab for a ....' additions.

Commenting on photos would be open to abuse as well as flattery and that wouldn't improve the site.

It's pointless

No. As it could lead to negative comments. Fab is a pleasure palace for potential positions of positive news views and pleasantries not profanities.

Its a shame the nature of people is to be negative towards people who clearly have a common interest and lifestyle choice.

It’s a sad state of affairs when we all immediately know the probable outcome of such an initiative - that people will abuse the privilege by being nasty, insulting, jealous, bitter and vengeful.

It was a nice thought OP!

Absolutely not! The abuse that could be open to would be insane. People already show themselves and their bodies off when they find the confidence to do so. If there's any chance they could be discouraged by that then it just shouldn't happen!

In effect leaving a Fab is the equivalent of a thumbs up (or vice versa depending on your point of view). No one can leave a thumbs down or negative comment. That seems to be sufficient.

Then it kind of loose the point as a fab would do the same of 200 “love the picture comments”. I totally understand the idea and in theory it would be great but in reality i just think the current system is probably the best of both worlds

It's hard enough when some idiot decides to message you to say how horrible you look. I'd rather not make it easier for idiots to do so. Plus I have a feeling once one did say something negative it would be a bit of an opening of the flood gates.

I think given the mails and comments women already get, that would be just adding more of same.

I suppose I have seen photos that I’d praise as brilliant or clever, and I can think of a few women that are very creative that I see on local updates, but the downside outweighs any positive use

I think if that were the case you would see a lot less people uploading pictures. The comments are easy to ignore/delete when said in private but opening yourself up publicly like that would be too much.

You would also get people discussing amongst themselves, for everyone to see and that’s just no.

Out of the many features that have been requested for 15 years or so - some, probably hundreds, if not thousands of times - I think they should have the development time and money priority that this would take from the budget. Pics can already have positive feedback left, via fabs. The other long requested features have no current alternative options. I propose no this suggestion but to refocus on the requests in the backlog, including additional profile data elements that can be included in searches. There are many more things that many want and we'd all really benefit from
