Us it possible to set a time limit for profile photo verification? So say every 12 months a new picture is required to stay photo verified.

It has been suggested over the years, but technically would just add extra work but whilst users are photo verified any future photos I'd say must consist of a couple if a couple as single would be straight forward

It would not be logical to bring this rule in. Because it is not compulsory to photo verify in the first place. I know some members get told to but it is not all people currently.

There is no logic issue. The requirement wouldn’t be to photo verify but to photo verify again IF want to keep the status.

Old photo could expire after a year. You would then have the choice to photo verify again. Think this would be especially useful for couples where lots become singles over time but carry on pretending to be a couple.

There are tonnes of fake profiles that are photo verified. So it wouldn't really do anything.

It is very easy to fake it these days as the people checking the photos don't have the tools and or the knowledge to check them for being faked.

A yearly top up of face photos plays into the hands of the data gatherers but I'm not opposed. Perhaps a gold tick to denote the photo is less than a year old and a green tick for everyone else.

Yes it's not perfect but catches the low hanging fruit, especially singles pretending to be couples. It's not that easy to fake for the average person although I think in the end Fab will have to move to something more complicated. Lots of kik groups in the past required a video with the person saying the date or a phrase. That would be much harder to fake for the time being and not much extra effort by admin to check compared to a pic.

We would wholeheartedly support this. A video of both of you, saying your Fab name and today's date, as well as a 2FA code sent to the email.

See fakes melt away from the site very quickly.

Being photo verified is only needed to get you to the point when you receive your first in-person verification. After that, it's irrelevant.

Hi

I guess different people want different things from this site. We meet people at clubs. We say when/where we are going on our profile or respond to specific Club Event threads. Who turns up; turn up. We may then use the site to keep in touch with any connections we make.

You could photo verify and then split up a month or so later; so that verification might end up being nearly 9-10 months out of date in the intervening period!!

What problem are you looking to solve and does this suggestion really solve it?

Ive seen guys who were on here when i 1st joined 14 years ago re joining and posting the same pics they had back then so will show as newly uploaded but will still be 14 years old

It could help, I'm sure, though it can easily be gotten around and it would add a lot of work for the voluntary photo moderators, so I'm doubtful it will happen.

Firstly there is no requirement for anyone who has been here a reasonable time to be photo verified. There are people in here with several RECENT genuine meet verifications who have NO photo verification! so I fail to see why admin should need to verify 1000's of photos every year. If users cannot suss out the fakes maybe fake finding lessons could be offered!!!!!

Judging by what the government are saying we're gonna have to prove our id to use sites like this in the future with an official form of ID drivers license, passport etc ......

It's very difficult for the government to do this. The site is likely not registered or hosted in the UK so it does not have to abide by UK laws.

Pointless. A couple could photo verify then split up 2 days later. 363 days verified yet fake.

It's a site for adults. Fab Admin aren't babysitters.

One way you can check against fake accounts is to reverse image search their images. I've done this to a number of profiles for single females and couples who show as photo verified but was suprised to find how many profiles are using fake pics ripped from various porn sites. The ones i have come across i have reported to admin but most are still active every day.

Pain in the arse.. just say yes to a meet and actually meet someone.. so so much better than endless messaging.. cuts to the attraction yes no decision and everybody can know straight away.. so much quicker than weeks of messaging and pictures to wonder over ..

I would agree to that , but there are so many on here not photo verified who have been in person verified either by meet or camera. Me personally I think all users should be photo verified by admin.
