Doncaster

I know I've mentioned it before, but it would be great to have Yorkshire as a location as we're not really East Midlands or North East.

I totally agree and find it frustrating wading through all the Newcastle and Sunderland profiles trying to find the Yorkshire folk

With an area the size of Yorkshire it’d be helpful to have at least that, if not something smaller still.. I mean it’s not like you can just nip out from Barnsley to Scarborough…

Why don't you just browse by setting postcode and then a distance of say 20 or 30 miles?

The only time i use the region thing is for meet requests. For profiles on the new search page it is not there.

It's more for the events section. Doncaster is in East Midlands which also covers Peterborough, but anywhere slightly north of here is North East which covers Newcastle

Yes agreed on the meets/event section. That is the only place where it matters I think. For what it's worth other regions are far from ideal either. I end up checking in East Midlands when I'm nowhere near and in reality have to check three different regions. It would be much to just ditch regions and search for events by distance from a town or postcode as per the functionality for profile search.
