"If you've blocked them, why would it matter?" Because I’d like to be able to update my status about going somewhere without them turning up!!! I know they can just set up yet another profile and view me, but wouldn’t it make sense not to be able to see the activity of a blocked person, including event listing?

"You would only appear in their blocked list if they have blocked you. If you have blocked them, you won't appear in their blocked list and they won't be able to see your profile or your status updates"

"You would only appear in their blocked list if they have blocked you. If you have blocked them, you won't appear in their blocked list and they won't be able to see your profile or your status updates" Hi, yes, that is the exact situation and the stalking blocked person told me that…

"I’m sure when you block someone first they then can’t see anything you post? I know if someone blocks you first they can still see status updates etc, but how can they if you block them first?" If you still have a message from them you can block them from that.

I hate to say this, but that sounds like a police matter.

"I’m sure when you block someone first they then can’t see anything you post? I know if someone blocks you first they can still see status updates etc, but how can they if you block them first?" You can still visit someone's profile after they have blocked you. You get an error message, but the menu with the options to block and report them are still available so you can reciprocate the block once blocked yourself. Whether you are online or not and your status update are visible to them from the block list screen. If you do a username change as a site supporter, the username will update in their blocklist and also in their inbox and sent items (if they have not deleted the messages), so it is pointless to do in these cases. These are privacy issues that really should be patched/updated on both sites. Blocking should block all visibility. As another user mentioned, reporting the person is the only way to block them from viewing your online status and status update. If they have broken the rules (do not do this if they have not), report them and an automatic two way block will be placed within a minute or two. This is a sort of invisibility wall to stop all interactions between the two profiles. They will varnish from your block list (and you from theirs) and they will no longer be able to view those details. Please note, that if they do not delete your messages, even with that invisibility wall in place, they will still be able to see a username change as it will update the senders name in their inbox and recipients name in their sent items. If stalking is involved, definitely report them and report it to the police. If the messages vanish from your inbox or sent items without you deleting them, then they have been banned or deleted their own account. Messages so not get removed as part of the 'report' invisibility wall, that just makes everything from the block list page disappear.
