Would it be possible to allow emojis to work in messages rather than them appearing as “??”

If I had to guess I’d say it’s probably something to do with wanting you to use the site emojis… for which you need to be a site supporter.

You don't need to be a site supporter to use site emoji, anyone can.

That’s incorrect. It specifically says so on the site supporter payment page.

I think if you type in the emoji characters they’ll still work but unless you’re a seasoned expert you won’t have them memorised and they only appear to click if you’re a site supporter. My own membership ran out recently for a day or two so I know this to be true.

It may just be me but I can't see what emojis add to any conversation on here or on any other medium. It's just laziness isn't it ?

Not supporter on this account, but I'm guessing the OP wants to use generic emoji that your phone uses.

Exactly that I just wondered if you could use the standard mobile phone emojis

And I do have Site Supporter status

Can you use them in messages too? There's a lot more available when using forums than there is with messages even with site support x
