Forgive my ignorance here but is there a possibility to hide profile from members other than friends. Despite making it clear on my profile I'm not looking to add to my friends list people still message me. So i hide my profile but that means my friends can't then see my profile or status updates.

not just with one click.

Go to your "filters" and block everyone from contacting you (think you can only block couples and single guys - should be enough for now).

Anyone you have messaged/winked in the past including your friends list WILL be able to contact you..

bit long winded but does work.

You might want to change your picture settings to friends only too

Yes photos are either private or only available to friends. Thanks for the comment though. Maybe I'll actually get time to meet some of my friends now instead of replying to others I've no desire to meet. Thanks guys and gals ! ! Xx

Why hide your profile to start with?????

If you don't want to add any more friend,just remove all the wording in your profile as those who are already your "friends" know who you are and what you are looking for

Don't feel that you need to reply with a 'thanks but no thanks'. I know it feels cruel, but just hit the delete button.

It's a bit like when we're applying for a new job - if we don't get an invite for interview within a couple of weeks, we assume we've been unsuccessful. We don't expect every single employer will notify us that we haven't made the shortlist.

Check the FAQs, and you will see that Fab Admin's view is that it's NOT rude to fail to reply to some messages. So don't spend your valuable time talking to peeps who you don't want to meet
