Why does it not always show the first time someone messaged you, eg 1 month ago

I'm receiving messages from guys that I know I've spoken to in the past, might help them also from sending same message again & again

If they checked your profile before they messaged you it would tell them they'd messaged you before but I don't think they care. They just see the pics/profile and send another.

You could always block those that message and you are not interested in then they can't message again.

Hi op

If you haven't responded to the message the sender is notified prior to writing which most decide to ignore. If it helps block them
