Block people by distance

There should be an option to block people from messaging who are more than x away from you. The amount of women i talk to who get messages from lads more than 50 miles away is ridiculous. They then have to bulk delete or spend ages filtering messages from people they'll never meet.

A lot of people frequently travel to other areas. Either for clubs or for gigs/nights out which puts them in an area outside their normal postcode. If everyone outside 50m was blocked, lots of people wouldn't be able to chat before meeting in clubs etc.

The site filters can't do it all, for everyone!

There are plenty of filters on already if people want to use them I don't know why another would be any good.People would just change location to bypass them anyhow.

And anyone who complains about having so many to have to go through as though it's a tough job can easily use filters to cut down on the amount they get.If they really want to cut down on the volume they get or search for those they are interested in anyhow and be proactive about sending first messages.

OP. There have been over the years I've been on here (13 years and counting!) requests for added filters.

But what do exist work fine already to meet the basic requirements without overloading the site with every sundry wishes of everyone!!

Beyond the "basics" it comes down to one's own personal choices and you adjust around them.

From my experience, I've met people for meets travelling well out of my home area, or they've travelled to me!

Longer distance meets occurred because we simply matched and wanted to meet or in some occasions, those I met wouldn't meet others within their local or regional area!

It all comes down to everyone's personal choices and adjusting yourself around what the site offers.
