The ability to interact with statuses would be very cool. I see my friends say something funny or I agree with & I have to send a message when it could just be a "fab" or emote.

Not really because some people use their status in a negative way and others would just use it as an excuse to have a go.

Personally if I put up a status that people like they can message me. If my filters don't allow them to then they aren't people I'm interested in engaging with.
