Location bug

There seems to be a bug in the location data for the local updates bit. I'm in London, but when I click "local updates" it provides updates for people in Ireland, particularly Dublin. If you click their profile, it still shows that they are 400+ miles away but its been happening for ages now.

Try clearing your location history on what your using you might also have junk files

Try removing the browser and reload in the settings it has location that you need to give permission for

Local updates is based on postcode, I think. I did notice when I was in north London recently that a number of updates were from Ireland. Maybe the postcode is similar enough that the site thinks it is in London?
