Please can we get a read/unread filter for the inbox? Sometimes unreads drop off the page and it's frustrating when you've got the yellow box at the top telling you they're there but you can't find them

I have messages that tell me that the person has replied to me, but I have no message from them- ? Can anyone explain or help me
