Inadvertently deleting messages

Why is it so easy to delete messages by mistake? If you are right-handed, using your mobile, and scrolling through messages, the delete icon is on the right side and it is really easy to press it by mistake and lose your message. This icon needs to go elsewhere on the screen!

Too easy! You can resurrect it if you have it in your outbox
