Not sure if its already been mentioned - the site is very smooth imo, but rather than removing threads- cant mods just put a block on them so no further replies can be made?

It'll show people where the site stands as far as topics or comments rather than them just getting pulled with no reason.?

The rules tell you what is allowed.

I wasnt asking what rules there were, just the ability to view closed threads - as the people who comment on them still exist.

Some attitudes are maddened I agree, and I wouldnt like to meet someone who held attitudes wildly against those similar to my own.

Just a thought either way

+ there is a comedy value in them sometimes.

No two threads are the same, some get taken off for various reasons, some can stay on with a comment on the end.

Let me give you an example. Today a poster started a thread airing some dirty washing.

A person then came along to defend themselves.

Technically both parties were breaking rules, even if one was defending themselves.

Both had posted lots of posts airing said dirty washing, so instead of stripping the thread of all posts that broke rules and then banning the two people involved, the mod deleted the thread.

As the OP had left the site she used discretion and didn't ban the other user who was also airing dirty washing.

It served no purpose to leave the thread up as the only message on it would have been go read the rules, which we should assume people will do anyway.

Always make me smile when somebody opens a forum thread, then when they don't like fair comments, they cry and demand it's removed, the lifestyle should be about us all being open xxx
