...people who all that false legal fluff in profiles and get admin to take it out and warn them?

Amount of profiles I'm seeing lately with it is astonishing

(P.S. if anyone knows the stock exchange code for fab that'd be great. I wanna keep an eye on the price thanks)

Why don't you message them all and explain how useless it is. It will keep you busy for a bit and be such a help to us all. Tha King you in advance for your services of streamlining FAB

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else

Given there's a database of user profiles, it wouldn't be that difficult to mass delete them.

However, that's admin censoring your profile, so I can see why they wouldn't.

Personally, I think it should be a search filter - show me all xx between ages of aa and bb who like x,y, and z who don't believe that Fab is a publicly traded entity in league with Sydney University under US law NCC-1801

My Own Little World

I enjoy the 'Facebook is now a publicly traded entity' ones. Not entirely sure why they are giving me this information...

Haha yeah when they forget to even change it. To be fair it's not the end of the world them having it in there. I've started using it as a filter to out the gullible ones

I've seen the Facebook one on a couples profile who were *"profesional and intelligant"

*their spelling not mine

You have to laugh.

This one's a favourite; "By posting this profile I do not waive my rights to privacy under article 8.1 & 8.2 of the European Convention on Human Rights"

Bearing in mind one of the key parts of the act is a right to privacy, its surprising how many of the people who send us unsolicited messages have it on their profiles.

I tend to remind them of the act and say I've reported them for breaching it by mailing us.

I swear many of them don't even realise they put it on their profile.

I'd use it...to search for people who did NOT have the warnings, pre-filter the sheep

I'm going to own up here and say that when we were very new to swinging, a bit nervous about everything and keen to do things right we had a warning on our profile. It was there for a while before we realised it was pointless. I tend to cut people some slack because of that

We did also include the word professional once which makes us doubly profila non grata

I remember making a few faux pa when I was fresh and innocent.

I learnt quick.

I'm still innocent though.

Why does anyone care if people put it or not?

"Why does anyone care if people put it or not?"

That's a fair challenge... The problems I perceived are:

- it takes up server space. Not my problem, admins problem, and up to them if, when and how to address it.

- it makes others uncertain about Internet safety, without offering any useful response to that uncertainty. That means (as an extremely case) less users, less users actively engaging with the site. That's (very slightly) everybody's problem.

Honestly I really feel for people if those are things they would worry about

What's trite for me could be a mountain to climb for someone else.

I try to remember that.....
