Message filters- location

I find the message filters incredibly useful, but could another one be added based on location. Just as you can choose a distance when searching, could a filter that anyone outwith a certain distance is unable to messaging?

Such an inconvenience having people from hundreds of miles away message

The message filters are great.

I think the issue with location based filters is the same as that with public pictures, determined users will switch location temporarily to circumvent the filter. Also there might be error in determining distance, as post code areas will vary in size.

The other option would be to base it on actual location of phone, but I'm guessing that fewer users use the "who is near" option.

You will need to access the site on a phone with location services enabled. Then under the header navigation bar with "home, updates, account..." there will another option "who is near off", click on that to enable it and there will also be an option to filter the list according to your meet preferences.
