All, as both of us are in a way long time fun seekers we have been on here as singles and now a couple.

Meet today...... what does this mean?

The dictonary says we quote " an arrangement of two parties or individuals who agree to "meet" on the day in question.

So, why do people put "meet today" up only when you make contact as genuine funseekers do you get a reply, oh "we're looking to play in December"

If you are looking for a meet in December, put it in the events.........its an appointment in the future !!! not "meet today "

Your thoughts, we think there should be an icon for future meets, this way we would not be wasting our time, or yours = emailing, and replying to "non meets today"

I agree,I have even seen people put on meet today and then their profile says not meeting anymore just here to chat

Why do people do it ....... if you want to meet next March, put it on your profile or status .. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We dont use the feature at all but I understand how frustrating it might be.

As for putting it in the events section, I read somewhere else that mods are now looking after the events to make sure that it's JUST events in there, (parties and socials) so there's a high chance any 'meet today' type things would be removed.

I'm sure there are a few requests floating about for 'meet this week' and 'meet this month' icons, you could try having a look for them to add support?

I dont know what it is about people, we have on our profile not playing at the moment, yet we are still getting lets meet! People just arent reading profiles!.
