If the developers of Fab made a stories function (similar to FB and Insta) do you think it would work well on the site?

"Progression and keeping up with the times? "

So everything has to turn into social media? That's not progress, that's dumbing down.

Intelligent people can work out what to put on their profiles all by themselves

So I saved you some time and got the definition of social media for you as it seems you aren’t aware that you’re already using it

“websites and applications that enable users to create and share content or to participate in social networking”

No. Not every site has to be a boring carbon copy of the internet monoliths, and I'd prefer it if they weren't.

Of course this is social media, but it's social media with a particular function, and to me a lot of Facebook type functions would detract from the central aims of the site.

I think the major difference is social media presence. Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat stories are mainly helpful for content creators to gain more revenue. People on here, as a whole, want to keep a level of privacy not display their lives for other users to see.

It's certainly a trend I'd rather see less of on here, content creators etc.

Exactly, we can write our own content
