Disappearing members.

Perhaps it's me, but a few women on here reply to my messages, we get on well, then she disappears, never to be seen on the site again.

Are they bots?

It's hard enough to get a reply on here, so when you do, then to just see their absence grow on their status, it really is frustrating.

Not bots, usually ppl who for whatever reason decide to leave the site.

I would recommend not reading too much into any message exchanges unless you know the individuals for real.

A simple 'No thanks' would be nice. It's easy for the female members to reply like you have done, when you don't have to go looking for replies. It's different for the men, which explains why some get angry on here.

Don't be too naive. Plenty of fake profiles, either men pretending to be women, but also people trying to hook you into signing up for other dodgy dating/sex sites.

Women receive so many messages on here every day, we have our real lives to live and don't owe strangers a reply or even an acknowledgement. Anyone getting angry that a stranger hasn't replied to them has issues, often women can tell these kind of men from a mile away which might explain why they stop the communication. Also often men take a polite "thanks but no thanks" as an indication that you are indeed interested as you took the time to reply

I agree, when we politely decline usually because the sender hasn't bothered to read our profile the sender often keeps messaging or sends petulant responses. We then end up blocking. Far easier if people go with the guidelines- no reply = not interested!
