Maybe not an alert... but within the option to 'jump to last post', the responses could be highlighted or listed separately or something like that? I don't want notifications

Use a specific word in your post then do Find in page.

Seriously , I think this is a very bad idea.

I'm assuming you mean that each time someone quotes your post to reply to something you have said that you get a ping of some kind.

So if someone replies to me........ something like - ok - then I am pinged and come on for THAT ? no thanks.

Or someone just says ..... no ...... or yes or blue or sausages or yesterday or I might or it was on itv.......

Really - think it over ...

Have I got your original idea wrong ?

Maybe people think that some sexy sort will answer their post and it will just be a thumbs up or some night trawler speaking boozian.

It works on a proper platform/app , notifications you control , but agree it wouldn’t work here , it would need new architecture

Omg I was in the process of typing this out on another thread but thought better of it..I thought it would have had some negative comments.. but I totally agree...with the notification and the like button...the forums are very dated.
